Entries now being accepted for $1,000 Cornhole Derby

SHELBYVILLE, Ind. (Aug. 25, 2021) – Indiana Grand Racing & Casino will offer the inaugural Cornhole Derby Saturday, Sept. 4. The event will be held on the racetrack following the early afternoon racing program with a projected start time of approximately 2:30 p.m. A special all-Quarter Horse racing program will be held that day beginning at 10 a.m.

Entry is open to all players 18 years of age and older. There is no entry fee and the tournament will be held in a single elimination format with the first team to 21 advancing to the next round. The final four teams will compete for $1,000 in prize money with the first place team receiving $500.

Registration for the Cornhole Derby may be obtained either online through the Website at www.indianagrand.com under the racing tab on the homepage or from the first floor OTB counter. Entries may be emailed in to indianagrandcontest@gmail.com.

Teams consist of two players and individuals may only compete on one team. Entries will be accepted until 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 2. Positions in the brackets will be drawn at that time for the Derby Saturday, Sept. 4. Teams must supply their own regulation cornhole boards and bags to play.
