SHELBYVILLE, Ind. (Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2022) – Long known for their rugged durability and exceptional value, Exmark has been named the official zero-turn mower of the National HBPA (Horsemen’s Benevolent and Protective Association). In addition, Exmark is now the official sponsor of the seven-eights mile turf course at Horseshoe Indianapolis.
“Our nearly 30,000 members will enjoy special pricing with Equine Equipment and Exmark,” said Eric Hamelback, CEO of the National HBPA. “This program gives our members significant discounts on a wide range of products. I know from experience that Exmark is the real deal, and we truly appreciate their support.”
If you’re already an Exmark mower owner, chances are you had a hand in building your machine. Whether you know it or not, Exmark customers are the reason the deck is deeper, the controls are smoother and the parts are fewer.
“Before we build machines, we go into the field and ride alongside our customers,” said Joe Smith of Exmark. “We get sweaty. We get tired. We get the best feedback. Then we gather our findings and get busy putting everything we learned into each nut and bolt. That’s the Exmark Advantage.”
“We know horsemen are busy people, so we make getting these savings as fast and easy as possible,” added Steve Andersen, founder of Equine Equipment. “It just takes one quick phone call to get the ball rolling, and then we coordinate all the details and the discount with your local Exmark dealer. Exmark has a long history of supporting the horse racing industry, and we are glad to take that to next level.”

Pending adverse weather conditions, the turf course at Horseshoe Indianapolis plays host to numerous races daily, including 10 stakes races annually worth purses of more than $1.1 million. The track’s richest turf event each year is the $150,000 Caesars Stakes, joined by the $150,000 Horseshoe Indianapolis Stakes for fillies on the same day. The next turf stakes set for Indiana are Wednesday, Aug. 24 featuring the $100,000 Bucchero Stakes and the $100,000 Peony Stakes.
